A Common Circuit Breaker Question Answered

2887-3In today’s blog, we’d like to provide our readers with the answer to one of the most common questions we get.

“My circuit breaker tripped and it won’t switch back on. What can I do?”

Luckily for you, an electrical technician from Delta Electrical has your answer.

The answer is that a couple of things might be going on.

First off, you’ll need to check to be sure that when your circuit breaker tripped, it tripped all the way to the off position. From time to time, the circuit breaker will trip, but it doesn’t make it all the way to the position it should. Start by pushing it all the way off and then switch it all the way back on. You’ll be able to hear the click and feel it as well.

Still no luck? Not to worry. You may need to unplug any devices that may be causing the circuit to overload.

If you continue to have problems, don’t hesitate to bring in a professional residential electrical technician. At Delta Electrical, your safety is our highest priority, so don’t hesitate to contact us with any problems because we’d be happy to help you figure out what’s going on.
